MTK Studios is led by MariaTeresa
A professional hair and makeup artist with over two decades of industry experience, MariaTeresa has been working professionally since 2002 and serving clients in Jacksonville, Florida since 2015. She received formal cosmetology training at a cosmetology school in Appleton, Wisconsin in 2001, laying a strong foundation for a career spanning fashion, film, television, theater, and commercial productions. In 2010, she further advanced her expertise by graduating from the Production Makeup program at Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry.
Her professional experience includes work across Wisconsin, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Earlier in her career, MariaTeresa rented studio space within what is now MTK Studios—long before it became the business it is today—creating a personal and deeply rooted connection to the studio.
She previously freelanced for Telemundo Studios in Miami, providing hair and makeup services for Spanish-language television productions, including soap operas. Her commercial and print work includes major brand campaigns such as Brooks Brothers, The Children’s Place, and commercials for Bacardi and Volvo.
Additional experience includes providing hair and makeup for theater productions such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show in Pennsylvania, working in fashion during Fashion Week, and delivering a full makeover for one of the lead actresses from The Hunger Games.
Today, MariaTeresa brings this extensive experience to every client and project—combining technical skill, creativity, and professionalism to deliver camera-ready, stage-ready, and confidence-boosting results.
